Preventative Dentistry is a joint effort between Dr. Muradian, the hygienist and the patient. With proper brusing and flossing at home and regular dental cleaning, together we can figh gum disease, one of the major causes of tooth loss. We also use early detection techniques and sealents to fight aganist tooth decay.
In addition, Dr. Muradian performs an Oral Cancer Screening Exam during the regular dental cleaning appointment. He will check your neck and oral tissue for lumps, red and white patches or recurring sore areas. Screening for early changes in the oral tissue help detect cancer at a stage when it can be more successfully treated.
